graduation of vpk

Leia graduated today from VPK. She was sad and didn't want to participate in the songs that

they were performing. She pouted through it instead. They played the graduation song and had the kids form 2 lines and meet in the middle and then they held hands as they walked to their chairs. When they got their certificates there teachers had written down what the kids said they wanted to be when they grew up. Leia said she wanted to be a princess. then we had cookies and brownies. It was a good graduation.

on a sad note I did not get the MRI job at the Dr. Stringer's office. But Wednesday someone came up to me and said that a certain Dr was thinking of adding X-ray to their office and if I wanted to work part time there. It's a long shot and it would take awhile for them to get things up and running. But I told them I would be interested. But for now things are OK.

We spent our Memorial day weekend playing at the beach and having a cookout. Chris is at the grill and I'm just goofing off before our friends get here. BBQ chicken, brout worse ,potato salad,BBQ beans,macaroni, and dessert.yummy I hope you all had a great weekend.

Happy Memorial Day

I had to share one of my favorite back yard pictures. Leia jumping in a mud puddle.

Today Leia got her Hep A shot and a chicken pox vaccine. She was so brave. I took her in and she watched the girl draw it up and keep asking questions. I told her it was medicine to keep her healthy and she said you mean its a shot. And I told her yes and she was fine. We got her up on the table and laid her down to give it in the thigh. She cried for a minute but was OK. I then took her paperwork back to her school where she told the receptionist that she didn't like that she had to go get a shot and she crossed her arms pouched out her lips and pouted about it. I took her out to eat lunch and then to the park. We had a good girls out afternoon. She's long forgotten about it by now. We later went to another park here on base and had ice cream and watched the water. We played in the sand and saw 2 huge blue clawed crabs. I hear those are some good eating. I hope everyone has a good Memorial Weekend. We plan on hitting the beach and having a cook out.

HI AGAIN,

GREAT NEWS, ONE OF THE DR.S THAT I WORK WITH PERSONALLY ASKED ME IF I WANTED TO BE A PART TIME MRI TECH AT HIS OFFICE. I TOLD HIM I WOULD LOVE TO AND THAT HE WOULD PUT A WORD IN FOR ME. HE REALLY WANTS ME TO HAVE IT AND I DESPERATELY NEED IT. IT WOULD ONLY BE MONDAY BUT WITH THE MONEY IT WOULD BE DOUBLE AT WHAT I WAS MAKING AT GULF COAST PLUS HAVE THE OTHER 2 JOBS THAT I HAVE AND THINGS WOULD WORK OUT. IT WOULD MEAN I WOULD WORK MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, AND FRIDAY AND USE THE OTHER 2 DAYS AS TRAINING DAYS. KEEP YOUR FINGERS CROSSED FOR ME. I'M A LITTLE NERVOUS ABOUT IT THOUGH BECAUSE I'VE INQUIRED ABOUT IT BEFORE AND THEY WANTED A TECH WITH 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE AND THEN I TALKED WITH THE MRI TECH THAT WORKED THERE PRIOR TO DR E. COMING TO ME AND HE SAID HE WOULD HAVE TO TALK TO THE BOSSES TO SEE IT THEY COULD TRAIN ME AND HE DIDN'T SEEM LIKE I COULD. I AM HOPING DR. E WILL PULL STRINGS FOR ME. IT WOULD BE MY 2ND HUGE BREAK FOR ME. THEN YESTERDAY I TALKED TO AMY WHO I WORKED WITH AT GULF COAST AND SHE SAYS THEY ARE WILLING TO REHIRE ME FULL TIME DAY SHIFT OR PRN.(AS NEEDED) BUT IF I GO BACK FULL TIME I RUIN MY MRI AND IF I GO PRN IT MIGHT BE A DAY HER AND THERE ONLY A FEW DAYS A MONTH. I THINK I WILL PUT IN FOR PRN JUST IN CASE THE MRI JOB DOESN'T PAN OUT FOR ME. I AM IN BETTER SPIRITS NOW THAT I HAVE A FEW OPTIONS. I'M BACK TO MY HAPPY GO LUCKY SELF AGAIN.

Shrek 3

We went to the movies last night and saw Shrek 3. It was so cute. It is a must see. We don't normally go to the movies so it was a nice treat to go see one. After that we went to McDonald's to get Leia one of the Shrek cups. They were so cute we got 2. Only thing is they are very heavy glass so little kids have to be extra careful. Chris corrects me We have to be careful ,we will be the ones to break it not Leia. HA!!! But all of the employees at McDonald's all were wearing green hats with ears like shrek. It was funny.
We're not up to much today. I told Chris I want to go to the beach again. so I'm just waiting for everyone to wake up this morning. I had to work all day yesterday so I want to feel like I had some kind of weekend.
I'm still looking for a job. I found out Chris P. is still looking for another job, so then I would get tons of hours at the MRI job. But who knows how long that will be. I think it is all talk. and then another MRI job might open up but it would all be 2nd shift. I'm not really crazy about that either.I did get the web site for gulf coast to put in my application. They no longer do it the old fashion way anymore. They only have full time day shift and no part time. I would have to give up the MRI. So I am in a rock and a hard place because I love MRI and it took me so long for someone to give me a chance. And I am doing great. I have done a few all by myself with them gone so that's an ego booster. I do all of them when I am there it's just I need to get my self confidence up. They say I am doing excellent.
Well I better get going. If we are going to the beach I have to get ready. Love to you All.

I love Leia's art work. It's a bus with kids in it. and she wrote when I go to school I will ride a bus. Just thought I'd share it with you.

Leia graduates VPK on the 24th of this month. She is doing so well in pre-K.She loves to draw and is trying to read. Her writing has improved tremendously. She's one smart cookie. She is even doing great in math for her age. Yesterday they were to draw circles in boxes that were numbered and had to have the same amount of circles as the number. Well she went beyond that and found that too boring so she drew all different kinds of cars,trucks,buses, and trains in the boxes using the wheels as the circles. Her teachers were so impressed and so was I. I think she will do great in kindergarten which starts Aug. 20th. Her class gets to go on a field trip today, to all places the car wash. They are learning on how things work. I think I need to volunteer my mustang for them to wash what do you think? Ha!!! Have a great day.

Yes the water is still freezing cold, but with the HOT sun it starts to feel great.

We went to the beach for Mother's Day and had a BLAST. We meet my friend Stacy and her family and just chilled out on the beach. These are the boys I'm Always talking about. Andrew and Derick they are twins and they are so adorable. Then later in the afternoon we all got together again and had some grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and some killer potato salad. It was a great day. Love to all.

Papa Chris and Gramma Jeanie are volunteer firefighters. They let us ride in there new fire truck. Leia had a blast. Behind the truck is there house. It is so beautiful.
