HERE'S WHAT IS HAPPENING ON ELM STREET.

AROUND THE CORNER FROM WHERE I LIVE IS A SECTION OF HOUSES THAT ARE GOING TO BE KNOCKED DOWN. THERE'S A LOT OF OLD RUN DOWN HOUSES AND TALL GRASS AND VEGETATION THAT HAS GROWN WILD SINCE IT'S NOT TAKEN CARE OF. JEN WAS DRIVING HOME AND SPOTTED THESE ON THE PLAYGROUND NEAR OUR HOUSE. SHE HAD TO GET ME TO SHOW ME BECAUSE SHE COULDN'T BELIEVE HER EYES. THERE WERE ABOUT 10 GOATS JUST ENJOYING DINNER. WE WATCHED THEM FOR AWHILE. I TOLD HER I WANT TO CAPTURE ONE SO THEY COULD MOW DOWN MY GRASS. ha!!! GOATS HAPPILY EATING THE TALL GRASS.
I READ IN ONE OF MY FARM MAGAZINES THAT PEOPLE RENT OUT THEIR GOATS TO CLEAR THE LAND AND I WOUNDER IF THAT'S WHY THESE GUYS ARE HERE. ALTHOUGH THE SECURITY POLICE WHEN I CALLED THEM DIDN'T GIVE ME ANY INFO EXCEPT THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEM. I DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING DONE WITH THEM I JUST THOUGHT MAYBE THEY ESCAPED FROM A FENCED IN AREA TO CLEAR GRASS. THAT OR THEY JUST WONDERED ON BASE WHICH WOULD MEAN A FENCE IS DOWN.OR ohhh CAN YOU IMAGINE IT THE SECURITY GUARDS WAVING THEM DOWN SAYING LET ME SEE YOUR MILITARY ID. HA HA HA!!!!

IT'S A HARD JOB BUT SOMEONE'S GOT TO DO IT.

NOT MUCH IS HAPPENING

LEIA HAS BEEN ON A PUZZLE KICK. WE SEEM TO PUT AT LEAST ONE TOGETHER A DAY AND ON THIS PARTICULAR DAY SHE PUT 4-5 TOGETHER.I'M GLAD I KEEP FINDING THEM AT YARD SALES AND GOODWILL "D" HAS A LOVE AFFAIR WITH THE CARDBOARD. IT NEVER FAILS WE CATCH HIM WITH A PUZZLE PIECE EVERY TIME. LEIA JUST UNCRUMPLES IT AND KEEPS ON TRUCKING ALONG ON IT.I LIKE THE 200 OR BELOW PIECES.THEY'RE SO MUCH EASIER TO KEEP TRACK OF. THE FIRST ONE WE DID WAS A 500 PIECE ON AND LETS SAY "D" ATE SO MANY OF THE PIECES AND THE PUZZLE SET OUT FOR LIKE A WEEK THAT I JUST PITCHED IT. LEIA TALKING TO CHRIS

NOT MUCH IS HAPPENING AROUND HERE. IT'S HARD TO BLOG ABOUT YOUR DAY WHEN IT'S JUST FILLED WITH CLEANING , YARD WORK, AND GETTING READY FOR THE CHILD CARE STUFF. MY NEIGHBOR BROUGHT OVER HER KID POOL AND THE KIDS HAD A GOOD TIME PLAYING IN IT ON A VERY HOT DAY. WE LATER COOKED OUT AND ENJOYED AN ICE CREAM AND A MOVIE. TODAY WE'RE GOING UP TO COLUMBIA TO GOOF OFF.

Myrtle Beach

I thought this picture could be a post card.

we went to the beach 3 different time. Only swam in it once. It was nice,but you had to go far out before you could feel sand on your feet. It was all rocks and shells instead of the sand that were used to in Florida.But hay there's no Oil on this beach.

We went to Ripley Believe it or Not Museum. The one in Panama City has 10 times more things then this one,but we got in for only 5 bucks total so again I can't complain.

For as expensive as this hotel was it only had a 3-4 foot deep pool. I'm not complaining because it was free to us,but there were many other irate people over it. I thought it was nice.

She wanted to ride the kiddie Farriswheel. I only bought one ticket because it was almost 4 bucks,so when it came time for her to get on the guy running it asked me if I wanted on too. I told him I only bought one ticket and he said I won't tell.So he let me on for free.

The store had a sign out front. It said the worlds only Zhu Zhu pet store.

We went to the Ripley's Aquarium. It was small but nice.

I can't say enough about this bed. I woke up without back pain and had such a nice deep sleep on it because it was so so so comfortable.

This was on the way to the convention center in our hotel.I thought it was pretty cool.

The Sheraton Hotel in Myrtle beach.Most rooms were $209 a night.Mine was 3 something because I had a partial ocean view if I craned my neck real hard to see it 2 blocks away. I was glad we won the free tickets. It was really nice inside but I don't know how people afford it.

1ST DAY AT THE BEACH

THE BEACH WAS 2 BLOCKS FROM OUR HOTEL SO WE WALKED IT. WALKING BACK WAS HARD AFTER A FULL DAY IN THE SUN,WATER,AND SAND.

Happy 4th of July Picture overload

The first thing Leia did when we got to Chris and Jeans was go for a bike ride. They rode around the neighborhood. Leia also swam in their pool.

Sunday we went to church and then to their pool party. We had a good time.

Even Jean rode down the slide a few times.

Their church had a cookout with tons of food to feed an army. Nobody left hungry and if they did it was their own fault.

The cookout and pool party was at a Christian camp for kids.It was really cool.Maybe when Leia's a little older she would want to go to a camp like this.

We celebrated Leia's Birthday while we were there. Jean made Leia a strawberry cake and Leia helped make it. She's opening up some of her gifts for Chris and Jean. She loves the books.

Jean and Leia did a wonderful job on the cake. I swear it looks better then any store bought cake.Plus Jean added food coloring to the cake and the inside was lavender.

Happy 4th of July

After last year with the mishaps of the fireworks debris and fire landing on us, Leia wasn't taking any chances. She stayed in the truck. The rest of us enjoyed watching them from outside.

We ate ice cream that was churned by a John Deer tractor engine. It was cool.

We found a seat under a nice shade tree and enjoyed the music and food.

Munching on a hot dog. What could be more appropriate then a hot dog and homemade ice cream for the 4th of July Parade.

We were enjoying the festival.

These guys could sing. The one even sounded like Elvis a little bit. They played it up to bluegrass to country and everything in between.

The Croaker Festival was right on the bay. It was such nice weather. For once it wasn't blazing hot and humid.

I loved these little boys with their heads painted like the flag. Leia giving me the I love you sign.

This is Chris and Jean's Fire Department. Chris is driving and Leia is tossing candy to the crowd.

This is a cool old fire truck. I love that they had the Dalmatians on it.

Look at this Gator. It even had smoke coming out of it nose in this one. Another one had bubbles and a different one had water. It was one of my favorite in the parade.

This is the float that won a big croaker trophy.

Look at the seats of these homemade scooters.They're coolers. How cool is that!!! I want to know if there's ice cold beer or soda in them. I know I know there's only room for the motor.

We salute our military for all that they have done. We are proud of you all.
