Florida farm

We went to the Florida farm that I was telling you about. It was so nice and relaxing.This was such a great mother's day gift. Family time together We made it to the farm around 11:30. we would have been there a little earlier but we hit a few yard sales along the way.We had a pic-nick lunch there. Nothing that healthy good reason to buy all the fruit. Actually they only had peaches, onions, and crab apples ready. they said the season has been crazy and things are late. I wanted the blueberries and blackberries so We will go back up first of June.Yippee!!! This is their house. Doesn't my car look lovely by it???

They had gorgeous horses.We got to pet them several times. They loved their necks and nose scratched. I could have taken these two home with me. They we such sweet babies
Leia burned some rubber on this trike. It flied on the dirt road. Definitely will have to get one of these on our farm,That or the bigger version depending on when we get one. I hope in the next few years. I can't wait. This is my dream.

This is the Hen house. They sell fresh eggs. I wanted to buy some but didn't quite know how they would handle the hour drive. I will have to bring a cooler next time.

Again these beauties. In the fall these pull an Amish buggy around and give tours of the farm. They just got the wagon last October when I was there .
It was so peaceful watching them fish and letting the breeze cool us off. I just needed a Lemonade and maybe a good book to make it like a dream. It was 100 % perfect the way it was . It was so relaxing.

All I can say is pure peace.

We went back to petting the horses and Chris caught this nice Bass. He was so excited. He was like a kid in the candy store.

They even had bunnies. They got this one out so Leia could play with her.Her name was Lilly. She wasn't scared of us and just let us love on her.
This is a beautiful old Oak tree. It just is so Southern looking with the moss hanging down and everything. We fished under it for 15 seconds and decided the bugs liked it too and found us for dinner.
We had an absolutely fabulous time. I can't wait to go back.Tomorrow we are going to a Cat Preserve. We have gone to the wolf preserve and loved it so we are going to go to this one. It has 46 different species.I think the brochure said they had tigers,black panthers,cougars,etc. sounds right up our ally. I'll post on it tomorrow.It has been the best weekend ever.

Last night we celebrated Mother's Day early. We didn't want to deal with the crowds over the weekend at a restaurant. So Chris took us to Corabba's my favorite Italian restaurant( We had shrimp and scallops that were out of this world) We then took Leia to play a put-put game. I think she will be the next Tiger Woods. She actually got 3 hole in one's. I only got one, and Chris had none.Actually Chris helped her swing on two of those and the third she got all by herself.

Today we hope to go to a farm that's about an hour from here. They have a lot of fruit that you can buy from them ,but they also have stuff for the kids to play with. Like a buggy car that the kids peddle, a pond to go fishing on, and a few other games. It's the farm I took her to this past October. We just have to wait for Chris to wake up. (Which will be awhile) He did ADD again last night. He got a call at 11pm and the calls keep coming untill 4am , Of course most of these drunks are down at the beach and it's almost an hour drive one way and not to mention the gas is $3.64/gallon. I am so tired of it. I know that he is intending well on saving these people from driving drunk and keeping the streets safe and them safe, but almost every weekend gets old. Yes they do throw him a 25 dollar gas card once every few months,but so what when you spend 80 plus dollars in gas a weekend for it. I should stop complaining. It's the money ,it's not seeing him because he sleeps all day..................I am just grumpy about it. He just has a big heart and I should be thankful for that.

Anyway back on Leia's tooth. It only wiggles a little bit so I am sure it will be a long time before it falls out. She said yesterday she needed to write to the tooth fairy so she knows what Leia wants to get for her loose tooth .( Kind of like Santa) I asked her what she wanted and she said $10/ tooth and a Mustang. Man is she going to be disappointed when she only gets a buck or so.I know inflation is bad and all, but a car and 10 bucks. Yeah she might get a hot wheel mustang. I know when she turns 16 and gets her first car I'm pretty sure it will be a mustang. That's all she talks about. And she can point everyone out on the road.

My baby is growing up way to fast. For about a month she keeps insisting that she has a loose tooth. Needless to say they are like concrete.,Then Yesterday she said the same thing so I had to test it and lo and behold it moved. She has a loose tooth. Her first one. It is her bottom right front tooth.I can't believe it. Wasn't she just born not that long ago. Man how time flys. She keeps telling me that she can't wait for the tooth fairy.

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile. It has been a crazy few weeks.I've been working a bunch of 14-16 hour shifts the past 2 weeks. Last weekend I think I just slept.We did go out to eat at a new restaurant down in Mexico beach. They had a great singer. Chris requested an Eagle's song and made the night perfect.Then we went to the beach to walk and see the sunset.That's all I remember about last week. This weekend I watched my friend Tiffany's kids.They were pretty good.I didn't know how I'd handle 3 esp. the older one,he can be "difficult" But they were all great.The Air Conditioner decided to leak all over our bedroom about 10 minuets before they showed up.That was crazy. It took us 3 hours to get maintenance out here. Luckily it was cooler outside so I just opened up the windows.We had hot dogs, loaded baked potato's and the kids munched on some chips after they finished their potato's and dogs. Then later we all made our own strawberry shortcakes. Watched a movie played games,cars,barbies,play-doh,colored,VTECH GAMES,... You name it they did it. They spent the partial night here.Tiffany and Matt were surprised that I had them down between 8:30-9:00.She just knew that neither one would sleep.I just keep Leia's schedule and they seemed to fallow her lead. (Although she was the last to fall asleep) She couldn't figure out why she couldn't sleep in her own bed with Evan.. I told her out of the question she would learn about that later.We had them from 4-11. Not a single gray hair. Matt joked: I thought Amanda was you friend and your letting her watch Evan!!! He was actually really good.Leia had a lot of fun having a sleep over.

Chris was such a big help.I couldn't have done it without him. He helped me keep them in line when things were getting heated up,helped with bed time, clean up... he was just awesome.

Sunday

We went to the park here on base and had a good time. There are sidewalks all the way around the playground so I walked while she played.I feel better and can relax here at this park rather than Under the Oaks because I can see her at all times here. I love the other park but they can take off in a heartbeat and it's hard to keep up. She was able to swing her way around the bar and make her way across it. That's a first.

Loved going around a million times. I would have been sick after one twirl.

After the park I went and grabbed Lunch and took it to Chris's shop. We stayed for about 2 hours just enjoying time with him. Leia drew a few pictures and danced to the music that he had playing on the radio.He keep working while we chatted. He was the only one in the shop.Leia is up now so I have to get her ready for school. love to all.

KID FEST

We went to kid fest today. They had a lot of things for the kids. It was so much better than last year, It was triple in size and so much more to do. I came unprepared. I forgot to bring cash( My friend had said it was free) and I didn't remember them having food last time we were there. Last time we only stayed about an hour. This time you could have spent all day there. They had tons of bouncy's,slides, bowling,toss games, basketball, paintings, even crafts to buy. One lady had bows. I was so mad that I didn't have cash. But I got her card and plan on maybe getting some. I need small bows now that Leia's hair is cut short. :>

We met up with my friend Stacey and her family. These are her boys giving the fireman's hose a shot. They had a blast.

Leia's haircut!!!

Leia got her hair cut yesterday. She's been begging us to get it cut short and I finally did it.I still have to get used to it. I liked it much better longer. Hopefully her hair will grow back fast. This morning she asked if it had grown any while she slept and we said not really. She was so excited. She loves her hair. I guess that's what matters.
I can still pull it up a little bit. i tried a ponytail today and I can't do it. So the sides pulled back is all I can get. I can get 2 small pigtails but hair easily falls out. But I can still get a bow in it!!!

I still can't believe I let her talk me into it. I did not cry though.I figure it's her hair and that's what she wanted. Actually she wanted shorter, but I couldn't do it.
She's still cute no matter what.

She rode the kiddie roller coaster all by herself and wasn't scared. See the wee on behind her.... He screamed his head off. Poor kid.

This went really high. I didn't think she'd like this,but she had a blast on it.

We went to a small fair that they had at the mall. It wasn't much, but Leia had fun.

Leia got a haircut earlier today. It is short. She has been begging us to get it cut short for awhile,so today I got the guts up to have it done.At least 10 inches were cut off. I am still able to put them up in little pig tails and pony tails but that's about it. It will have to grown on me. I don't really like it,but Oh well. It's only hair and it will grow back.I'll get better pictures of it tomorrow to post. You can't really tell in these pictures how short it is. It goes to the top of her shoulder.

Class Field Trip

Leia had her first class field trip. We went to the Strawberry Farm. Strawberries as far as the eye could see.

They had a hay ride. It was bumpy.Surprised we didn't loose any of the kids.HA!!!! A few needed to go. Isn't that BAD:< Some were driving me insane. I don't know how all of the teachers in the family keep their sanity.

MOO SAID MOMMA COW.The big one's name was Steak. They had a chicken named Lucifer b/c the comb on it's head looked like red horns, and a few pigs named Bacon and Hammy. The meanest of the roosters she named after her X husband because of... well he was such a snot. To put it in nice words.That just cracks me up.
MONKEY WAS CUTE, THEY FEED HIM A BOTTLE 3 TIMES A DAY. HE WAS SO HUNGRY AND LOOK AT THE DROOL.

WE HAD A GOOD TIME. WE PICKED SOME YUMMY STRAWBERRIES ,PLAYED GAMES,PETTED ANIMALS,AND ATE LUNCH. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE KIDS BUT I NEED A NAP. HA!!! I WAS SO GLAD WE WERE ABLE TO GO.
