busy week

Leia can't wait for adult swim to be over so she can get back in. She's pretending to be a dolphin at sea world
She's practicing floating on her back. She's trying really hard to accomplish this.

She's like get in the water and stop taking pictures.

We have had a busy fun week. We've been to the pool twice and we're going back Saturday. Our church is putting on a pool party and BBQ at the pool. I meet Kendra's mom ( one of Leia's friends) and we have been talking nonstop ever since. Her husband is also where Chris is at. she introduced me to hearts apart the other day so we went there and played BINGO. I won twice and came close so many many times. I had the lucky cards. The kids also played kid bingo in a different room and watched a movie .We had a good time.
I had them over yesterday and we watched a movie and the kids just played for hours.
Leia had organized her room and did such a wonderful job at it I took her the Chucky Cheese and spent 10 bucks on games. She had a blast. Again I forgot the camera. I need to attach it to my purse. It was a last minuet thing and you'd be proud of me or think I was stupid because I got the guts up to drive to Sumter after 6 pm. It all went well and it made me feel safer that there were 2 cops in the parking lot monitoring people.( a movie theater is close to Chucky Cheese) We even ate Chinese food for the first time several months. There was this older man (70-80's )who I felt really sorry for. He started talking to me nonstop about his wife who had passed away 10 years ago. and talking about his family and stuff. I didn't get to eat much ( he didn't take the hint that warm food on the table was a Q to let me eat.) So after an hour of trying to eat I just took it home.I think he was just very lonely ,
Tonight I think we're having a sleepover with Kendra. I'm not sure. They mentioned it last night and both girls want too. If we do the girls want to make Pancakes in the morning and her mom wants to go yard selling with us at the crack of dawn. I'm thinking though the kids won't sleep and won't give a hoot about early yard selling HA!!!
Not much else is going on. Love you all

We had a jamming good time

I went to the grocery store today and Leia wanted strawberry jelly. It was almost 4 bucks and I was like noway are we getting that. We were in the fruit section and strawberries were on sale for 2lbs for 3 bucks. I already at the pectin and sugar so I was like I know what were going to do today. At first Leia wasn't into it. She wanted to play. So I told her to humor me and pretend to help me make it. Well after this first picture she was hooked. She loved it all. I knew she would. We made 5 jars of jelly. I'm going to freeze it so hopefully there's some left when Chris gets here. If not we'll just have to make more.

I'm trying to sneak in for a picture

I caught her a few times licking the sugar cup. She'll be bouncing off the walls tonight.

I let Leia pour it and well you know kids and messes it was bound to happen. She let me do the rest. It was so sweet she cleaned up without me telling her to. We had enough to make 5 six oz jars of strawberry jam.

You know we couldn't wait and we didn't have dinner yet ,so we had to try out our jam. It was fabulous.

Leia digging in.

Her signature thumbs up to let me know that it's good. There was no prompting on it either. She did it herself. Makes my heart melt.

garden full of surprises

My first big harvest. I am so excited to have something to show you all. I was just in the garden the other day looking for things that were ripe and there was nothing. So I was so surprised to see that I had a lot to pick today. We did have rain yesterday so that probably helped. Leia picking some blueberries for me.
My beans growing up the pole

My biggest tomato plant and it has about 6-7 nice size green tomato's on it.

My Crape Myrtle tree is starting to bloom

I let Leia pick the very first bean. She was so excited about it.

My very first bean. What does one do with only one bean??? I know it's big but what do you do with it.

My second zucchini
My first ear of corn.

My first pepper
Some more blueberries that I need to pick.

My cantaloupe is growing nicely. I have about 12 plants and this is my biggest one.

Some of my blackberries that will be rip in a few more days.

This is the mint just taking over one of the flowerbeds. I love it. Mix it in water, lemon juice and a bit of sugar and you have yourself a drink that's better then soda. I can't get enough of it.Thank goodness it grows well.

This is my indoor herb garden.

LE GRAND CIRQUE

LEIA AND I WENT ON A TRIP TO MYRTLE BEACH WITH THE MILITARY. WE TOOK A BUS DOWN THERE,THANK GOODNESS I DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE. IT WAS NICE JUST TO SIT AND CHAT WITH OTHER PEOPLE AND THE KIDS WATCH MOVIES AND PLAY.WE WENT AND SAW LE GRAND CIRQUE. WHAT CRAZY STUNTS THEY DID. SOME MADE YOU SAY OOOOOUUUUUUCCCCHHHHH!!!!! OUCH. ESPECIALLY THE WHAT I CALL THE BENDY GIRLS,THAT'S MY NEW NAME FOR THEM. THEY COULD LITERALLY SIT ON THEIR OWN HEADS. AND THE MEN I THINK WERE PART SPIDER MONKEY WITH SUPER POWERS. I SWEAR THEY COULD BENCH PRESS 200 POUNDS PER FINGER. JUST JAW DROPPING THE WHOLE TIME. WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. I DEFINITELY WANT TO GO BACK AND SEE IT AGAIN. DO I HAVE ANY TAKERS WHO WANT TO GO WITH ME??????
LEIA WISHING US A HAPPY 15 YEAR ANNIVERSARY. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE'VE BEEN MARRIED THAT LONG. TIME FLYS BY. NOW THAT'S A BUS. I WAS GLAD WE HAD A NICE BUS INSTEAD OF ONE LIKE THE ONE ON HER FIELD TRIP REMEMBER WITH THE SEATS CUT UP AND THE WINDOWS HELD UP BY DUCT TAPE AND DOWEL RODS. THIS BUS EVEN HAD 3 MOVIE SCREENS AND THEY GOT TO WATCH KID MOVIES ON THE WAY DOWN AND BACK. IT TOOK US ABOUT 3 HOURS TO GET DOWN THERE AND THAT'S WITH A QUICK LUNCH AT A GAS STATION AND ON THE WAY BACK WE HAD A NICE DINNER AT CRACKER BARREL.
LEIA SO EXCITED TO BE GOING TO THE CIRCUS.

UGH. WE RODE IN THE BACK OF THE BUS. DOES EVERYONE KNOW HOW CARSICK I GET,WELL WE CAN ADD LEIA TO THAT STORY AS WELL. POOR BABY WAS TOSSING HER COOKIES WITHIN THE FIRST HOUR.LUCKILY WE WERE AT THE GAS STATION WHEN THAT HAPPENED AND WE WERE STANDING IN AN ISLE WITH BOWLS SO I JUST GRABBED ONE OFF THE SHELF. WHEN SHE WAS DONE SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T NEED IT ANYMORE AND WONDERED WHY I HAD TO BUY IT. LUCKILY SOME PEOPLE AT THE FRONT OF THE BUS LET US CHANGE SEATS AND WE WERE SO SO SO SO SO MUCH BETTER. I WAS GLAD BECAUSE I WAS FEELING QUEASY AS WELL. I EVEN BOUGHT 2 EXTRA BOWLS JUST IN CASE.

THIS WAS A BEAUTIFUL BUILDING FROM THE INSIDE OUT. IT REALLY DID FEEL LIKE YOU WERE IN A PALACE.

A GIRL IN LEIA'S SCHOOL WAS ON THE TRIP . THIS IS MADISON. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT LEIA AND HER ARE THE SAME AGE. SHE IS SO MUCH TALLER THAN LEIA.

DURING THE SHOW YOU COULDN'T TAKE PICTURES SO THIS IS ALL THAT I HAVE TO SHOW YOU.
THE SHOW WAS FABULOUS. I WOULD RECOMMEND EVERYONE SHOULD SEE IT. IT WAS ABOUT 2 HOURS LONG AND IT JUST FLEW BY. SOME OF THE STUNTS WHERE LIKE HOW IN THE HECK ARE THEY DOING THAT. SO IF ANY OF YOU COME THIS WAY IT'S WORTH THE TRIP TO MYRTLE BEACH JUST TO SEE THIS SHOW.

setting up for daycare

Leia and I are painstakingly setting up for childcare in our home. Last week I did a week long course through the military to get certified to do it in our home and it will take another 3 weeks to get approved. In the mean time we're setting up and baby proofing. We painted the white table red. It was Leia's when she was little and she has done tons of craft projects on it so it needed something to polish it up. I told Leia she could pick the color and she wanted red. She helped me do the first couple coats of paint. I will never buy cheap paint again. There are so many coats of paint on this it's ridiculous. The more expensive stuff ,I believe ,does it in just one coat ( I think). From far away it looks good but up close is another story. BUT I am finished with it.
Some of the things we got from the child development center. Leia played with this kitchen set for hours.

Leia playing with one of the dolls.

I've decided to do childcare in our home and homeschool Leia. For now it's the right thing to do. I have applied for weekend jobs doing X-ray or CT. I just put in for a CT weekend job yesterday,so maybe they'll call me back. It's the only way that I can homeschool Leia and make some money and stay in my career field.

Base Pool

We went to the base pool today. We stayed for 3 hours. I got a tad burnt and we had lathered on SPF one million waterproof sunscreen. My face is so burnt it hurts to blink. It could have been from also doing the yard work earlier. Accumulative burn I guess. Leia got off Scott free of any burn. Lucky Duck. It did get up to 98 so the water felt so so so good.
Leia saying hurry up mom I want to jump into the water. It wasn't that crowded when we first got there, but towards the end we just keep bumping into people and the life guard came out to take a sample and he had a glove on so I told Leia time to leave. I don't think they do a chlorine check with gloves on. We bailed. The millionth time to go up these stairs to get to the slide.

The slide.

Love the action shot. This is her out of the slide before she hits the water. Pure luck on this shot.

Taking a break during adult swim. It was so so so hot outside. Today reached 98 degrees. We just wanted to jump back into the cool water.
I really don't think she needs swimming lessons. Look her face is under the water and she's swimming.

They had noodles that we lounge around on. That didn't last long. Leia wanted to swim, dive to the bottom, and do the slide.

She loves the water so much. We were there for 3 hours. We had a good time.

Leia giving you all a kiss. A true Mermaid
