picture day

Does anyone remember Glamor shots. They were really big in the 90's.Kelly and I had some done when we were about 18. The company didn't last for some reason or the other,maybe because for most people it was a one time thing,even though fun ,who dresses up glamorous for all pictures and then pay an arm and a leg for just a few pictures. Well I discovered where they go.They go base to base. And yes I was suckered into it. After getting the $59 package of just getting my hair and makeup done ( and the guy said they would do Leia's Hair) for only $10 because I was walking away declining their offer. Long story short I got suckered in. because 10 bucks for my hair and makeup and Leia's hair sounded like a good time. For her I just wanted a fancy up-do to look like a princess. So we get their 15 minuets before our appointment and find out that they are so behind that there is a 2 hour wait. ( Behind because the CAK building didn't open up until 12 and they had appointments start at 8 am.) You would have thought someone would have done their research for their business. And they called me at 2 for a reminder about my appointment. Duh tell me then that you are so far behind.Plus I found out that they don't do kids hair under the age of 12. Their sales rep just either didn't know his stuff or was just trying to sucker people in to sign up for it. Because I also asked him how much pictures were and he said he thought the smallest package was $40. Wrong again. Smallest package is $120 for one pose and you don't find that out until the end of your session. and that package is like only 3 pictures.Dummy me should have asked the first time when we were there at 4. I don't think we would have done it. So we come back at 6 and wait and wait. It was after 7 when they finally got me in for my makeup and hair. I looked like a total clown. I could go on and on. So on the 22nd we get to see our pictures. If we want to buy 1 picture it's $45 each. You know Leia takes excellent pictures so I'm sure I'll buy one of her. What I should do is just run down to Wal-Mart with the same dress and get her pictures done. I'm sure they'd be just as good and a whole lot cheaper .Chris is right ,if nothing else we just chock it up and loose $10 and had a wasted Saturday.
Not much else is going on this weekend. I hit some yard sales and bought a few things. and after our pictures we went to a Mom And Pops type Pizzeria. We had Stromboli's for the first time. Not bad.I did some yard work trying to get my back yard into shape before Kelly gets down here. I think I'll run to Wal-mart to get some plants to help spruce it up. I hope you all had a good weekend.
