pool time

Getting ready to swim.

She loved this water slide
The sun was getting to her I guess.HA!!!

We adventured out to the pool today.I was worried about Leia getting too much sun and hot and her breaking out. She did great. She only lightly broke out and it's so light pink you can hardly see it.I think her body is fighting it off very well. I don't think she'll have it for 3-4 months like the Dr. said. We swam for 3 hours and the temperature was around 88.We had a good day. She swam half the time with a life jacket and the other half with me trying to teach her how to swim. She needs lessons though. We ran into Shelby and her family and they take their kids to swimming lessons. She says that Leia was doing good and probably could skip up to the 2nd class. She also did the slide. She would do the diving board too if they didn't have it shut down. She has no fear .What a great Friday.
This weekend we plan on going up to Destine. I am going to shop and Chris is going GUY shopping. Men and their toys.

only a matter of time

I just checked Leia's one tooth that has been loose for about 3 weeks or so and low and behold the one next to it is so loose I believe it's going to fall out before the one I've been watching. Now yesterday that one wasn't even loose.I don't get it. But for sure 2 loose teeth( the front two on the bottom). She thinks she's getting thousands for it. KIDS!!! Ashley wrote Leia a cute story about Leia eating an apple and loosing a tooth. So when they're here I am going to have apples for the kids ,and maybe Ashley will finally get a loose tooth.Maybe it's Florida water,Who knows.

I have tomorrow off and plan to take Leia swimming. Her spots are fading and she looks normal. She's been begging to go out and swim so I thought I'd give it a try.

Love to all.

TYNDALL ELEMENTARY
This is Leia's first day of school.
Her first ride on the big yellow bus.
So many kids on the first day of school getting on her bus ,now there's only her and Lane.
This was today. They had lunch at 10 am b/c school got out at 11 . Then Mrs. Madder handed the kids Popsicles. They had to eat lunch in the hall because they were trying to feed the whole school. The kids didn't mind.
This is Shelby one of Leia's friends. They went to the CDC together.
Leia's classroom. Mrs. Mader is in the red and white shirt and Mrs. Coohn is in the yellow shirt.
The class singing Happy early Birthday to Leia. It was nice because Leia was so bummed about not sharing her birthday with her class.
Mrs. Coohn. Leia loved both of her teachers.

LONG LOST PHOTO'S THAT I THOUGHT I'D NEVER GET OUT.

Sassy girl!!!

Lost Christmas pictures.

The last day of school pictures almost didn't happen. I blogged earlier this morning and forgot to put the memory card back in the camera. I didn't realize it until later when we were fixing to leave and the bell was getting ready to ring for the end of the day. I was bummed because the first day of school is also in the same predicament. So I was determined to get them off of internal memory. I know there's a plug somewhere in this house or packed to get them off, but after looking for it I can't find it. I came across wires that hook up to the computer but they don't fit the camera. Anyway long story short, I figured out how to transfer internal memory to the memory card and then to my computer. If I had to do it again I'd have no clue on how to do it,but fate was with me to get these pictures. I got her teachers some really nice gifts and took them to her school, I had lunch with the kids and got to watch the teachers hand out gifts to the kids. Mrs. Coohn made the best gift of all. She took pictures of the kids all through out the season. It was such a great memorable gift for me and on each page is a painted hand print of Leia so I could watch how she grew over the school season. Each hand print is made into different things like a turkey, reindeer, heart, penguin, flowers, etc... It is priceless. At the end of the day they asked who had a birthday in the summer and Leia raised her hand. She got to wear the birthday hat and everyone sang happy birthday to her.She had a great school year.

Last day of school

Oh why not my house. They are tearing down the houses around us. They left my house and the one next to us up out of the whole entire block. BOO HOO! and it's odd because that house has been empty for over a year. Now we are the last one's on this side of the street because our neighbors that we shared the house with have moved. It looks a little promising of them knocking our house down soon. We haven't gotten a letter, but they are taking things out of the empty house next to us.
Here's our house if you didn't know what it looked like. Nice car huh!!!
Leia acting like her daddy. This was taken before she broke out. And I know she shouldn't be wearing her dad's glasses. They were only on for a split secant.they were posing and showing off their gross tongue habit and she took Chris glasses off and put them on. She wants to be like him.

This is today's pictures. I was relieved today when she woke up and you can hardly see her spots.I feel like a victory. Now I don't know what she'll look like later when she gets hot or the sun hits her,but this morning she almost looked like a normal kid. Yippee. She still is working on that tooth. I can't keep her fingers off of it.
This is waiting at the bus stop with Lane and his family.
Last big yellow bus ride for the Kindergarten year. Sniff Sniff. She will miss it.If you click on the bus picture and enlarge it you can see Leia's precious face smiling back.

I'll post more pictures later. I'm going to go to Wal-mart and get her teachers a little gift or gift card. I'm going to go to her school and get more pictures today. My Little baby isn't a baby any more.

Leia will be OK!!!!

Leia will be OK. She has a childhood disease called fifth disease. Supposedly it's common and about 50 % of kids get it. Leia has a bad case of it so maybe that's why she looks like she has the plague. It gets worse when she gets in the sun, gets hot,or gets stressed. The other 2 or her main problems. WE LIVE IN FLORIDA AND IT'S SO HOT HERE!!!! The Dr. said it's a good idea to keep her inside as much as possible for the next 3-4 months. GEESE she wants to go to the parks and go swimming this summer plus the beach. I know we can't keep her inside all summer, but we will do more things inside. She gets bad even if we go outside and walk the parking lot to get to the store. He teachers at the Youth Center freaked out. Not all of them were informed about her condition and when she got off the bus she was covered head to toe in rash. I got a panicked phone call about it and I had to explain what it was. I can't believe 3-4 months of this. I feel bad for her because when she gets really hot it looks like she has the plague. tonight she looked better until I gave her a slight warm bath. She's broke out again, but it's not so bright red. She is acting fine and just being a kid.Luckily she's not contagious and can still go to school and daycare. I wouldn't know what to do if she couldn't go. school is out tomorrow. I'll post some pictures of her last day.
love to all. Remember Leia will be OK nothing to worry about.

Leia's spots.

Well she's not any better. If anything slightly worse. She was getting better so I took her outside to the park for about 45 min. She wore light weight pants and even wore a hat. She now is lightly breaking out on her stomach and the sun or heat angered the rash that she already had. She's been cooped up in the house for 3 days ..........I am going to try to get her in to the Dr.s tomarrow. (Which might be impossable because so will everyone else because of the holliday)She does have s slight fevor. It's been normal up to 99.9. So nothing major. She still doesn't itch. She's more conserend about her loose tooth. I can't wait for it to fall out.I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day. I wish we'd done something but O' well She's more important. AND it saved us money. :> We've had some good stay at home family fun. Watching kid movies, playing games, and lots of snuggle time. love to all.

rash or chicken pox do you know???

Leia taking an oatmeal bath. She's got something and were not sure what it is. We called a Dr. on base and they think it's Chicken Pox but I don't think so. It started on her legs and arms after she had been outside a long time on Tuesday. She got burned while out at recess. Then these bumps started showing up. At first it was all over her legs and arms only. Now it's on her butt and back.Have you seen anything like this. She's had her chicken pox vaccine and MMR shots. She her leg how splotchy it is. These pictures are hard to see but they are bright red. If you click on the pictures they enlarge and you can see it better.
These are all over her arms and butt, creeping up on her back. You can't see it that great on these pictures.
other arm and side of back.
She still has the loose tooth. It only wiggles a little bit still. She says it hurts. I was going to take her to the Dentist this week but now that she's broke out I don't know what to do. Her last day of school is Wednesday. I had the day all planed B/ c it's only half a day and I was going to get pictures of her class mates and take her out to lunch. But now I'm not sure if she'll go back to school.I guess I'll see how it goes Monday night.

weekend fun

Some of the best stay at home fun.Plus it waters the...MUD!!!!
Best 10 bucks spent on this sprinkler. Leia loves it. She played for almost an hour. Chris got out there and got her with the other hose. She was having a blast.

Over the weekend we went to the Tupilo Honey Festival up in Wewahitchka. A town that is actually smaller then Vernon. It was really nice. They had it set in a beautiful park overlooking a nice size lake. in the Very large Pavilion they had a band playing music and all kinds of crafts, food, and kid things to do. Leia rode in a kiddie train and also went in a small petting zoo. They had the cutest bunny that had like a lion main, I keep begging Chris that I want to take him home. He said when we get our little farm then we can. OH I can't wait.

Then later that evening we went to a movie. Speed Racer. It was actually very good. I didn't think I'd like it but was surprised by it. The T.V. commercials don't do it justice. We had gone with my friend Tiffany and her son Evan. It was so cute watching Leia and Evan pretending that they were the one's driving. Leia even did some cheering. Normally I would have quited them down but there were only 3 family's in there and that included us.

Then on Sunday not much happened. We drove around did a little shopping and did house work. Nothing that interesting.I did end up buying Leia a fancy water hose and let her play in the sprinkler. She had a blast at that. I hope everyone has a good week. Monday started out quite rocky so I hope the rest of the week gets better because Saturday is so far away. Love to all.

Cat Sanctuary

We went to the Cat Sanctuary today and had a great time. We saw so many cat's I got all of there info on their web site Type in Bear Creek Feline Center and it should pop up.
It has lots of great pictures of these beautiful Cats'
This is the Florida Panther. She was watching Leia very intently so I held her back a bit. We weren't in the cages but I didn't want Leia to get scared if she pounced the fence.
African Felis Serval. Look at how he is sitting on the step. This is one of the 3 babies that we got to pet and play with. They were just like our cats at home purring, playing, being goofy.
We had extra large pols with different toys at the ends. They love this .
Leia and Chris trying to lure one near them.
This female Panther loved to smell his hand. I think she was thinking tasty treat .
Watch this next series of pictures. Leia and the guide playing with the polls and watch the cat.in the next picture.

I caught her jumping mid air. Leia was having a blast. The guide said they can jump up to 10 feet.
She caught the toy and ripped it right off of the poll.
This African Felis Serval jumped up onto their entertainment center. The babies are allowed into the front enclosed porch and the whole run of their downstairs of their house. They said they have to baby proof the house.
Chris petting the Bobcat This is the Lynx

This one is the Felis Caracal Notice the long hair on the ears. This poor thing was living in a condo and was a gift to a 5 year old girl. I guess they always put bows on the cat's ears.

We got to see this one eat a baby chick.I thought Leia would freak out but she didn't May because it wasn't alive but they dangled off of one of those polls. They were trying to make it think it was hunting the bird. It was cool.
Florida Panther. He was so Beautiful. Before this trip,I would have thought this was a Cougar.

We had a good time here. I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day, i know We did. Love to all.
