MORE SNOW YEAH!!!

Tag your it!!! SPLAT!!!Leia trying to catch as many snowflakes as possible
Another ambush when your trying to take pictures.

AHH There is nothing like making snow angels. Getting on the ground rolling and playing and getting your clothes sopping wet.

D saying don't let me down. That white stuff is cold. They didn't have this in Florida.

You know your in the South when there is 1/2 in of snow on the ground, snow flurries in the air,and nice clean unfrozen pavement to drive on and people drive like they're in a blizzard. First hardly anyone was out driving but if they were ,they were driving really slow with their blinkers on.

Snow in the South

It snowed sometime in the night. It's not a white Christmas but it's cool that it snowed. It won't last. It's already melting. In my back yard which would have been pretty pictures, but it's about
90 % melted. A nice light dusting of snow. It'll be crazy to drive today not because of the snow but because southerners will say " I don't know how to drive in the snow ."
This will probably all be melted in the next hour.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Merry Christmas

We went to Swan Lake to see the Christmas Lights. They did a fantastic job at doing their lights.

Have to have a John Deer Tractor in there some time.It will be the official sleigh by 2015. Ha Ha.

Our Christmas tree.

Opps Leia opened Chris' present. It looks good on her.

Leia excited about opening her presents

Merry Christmas

This is one of the pictures that Chris had painted for me in Korea. This is one of Leia's first walks on the beach at Tyndall.

This one is her first horseback riding lesson. Both of these pictures mean the world to Chris and I.

She loved the jersey that Chris had made for her it has her last name on the back and her first name on her sleeve. She's happy to have her named spelled on it correctly.
This is how we celebrated Christmas with Chris. We opened up our gifts on his Christmas Day.Leia liked it because it was like having 2 Christmas's

We made Christmas cookies
We went to Windy's for a play that the kids put on. It was super cute.

FRUIT CAKE

Leia not in a smiling mood.I don't blame her. Mom was leaving for back home. We had such a wonderful time while she was here. I can't wait to see everyone in a few months. Time is flying by. Cheese
Mom helping me make fruit cake. I couldn't be out done by my sister. We were going to make both to compare the 2 but I forgot the cream cheese at the store. So we only made mine. I was interested in comparing the 2 since I LOVE MINE SO MUCH. It must be a twin thing .I didn't know that she liked them too.I am a closet fruit cake lover. Scared if anyone knew that I liked it they would think that I was fruity, nutty ,or just plain lost my head.I can say that I probably am all of those above ,but not just for liking fruit cake. There I just had to get it off my chest. HA HA!!!

Some of the players. Note Only get one container of the fruit. 1 was plenty.

Drool Drool Yum Yum!!! Don't eat right away. The longer they sit the better they are. Needless to say 1 of these is already gone. (I gave my neighbor half) the rest will sit and get better with time. They might last until Christmas but I doubt it.

I know Kelly just posted about a fruit cake. I am pretty sure hers is mouth watering delicious especially since it has cream cheese in it. I also love Fruit Cake and have a great one too. They are so easy to make and so so so yummy. This one's Not a hard brick that tastes bad like the store ones. Those are gross.
My Fruit Cake
1 1/2 cup of branded fruit. (I love the ones that are not chopped into tiny pieces.)
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped nuts (OPT)
1 cup dates
1 box of cake mix w/vanilla pudding in the mix. (very important)
1 sm box of vanilla pudding
4 eggs
2/3 cup of veg. oil
Mix cake mix, pudding, eggs, and oil with the mixer at med. speed until moistened.
Add all of the other ingredients by hand and gently mix. Bake at 300 degree. Makes 3 small loaf pans cook for 65 min to bundt pan 90 min.

We went to Charleston yesterday and had a fantastic time. I have to do this with Chris when he comes home. It would take one a week just to see everything. Tons of museums, historical sights, water fronts, fountains, parks, shopping, tours, and so much more.I don't have tons of pictures because I forgot my SD card for my camera so I was limited on pictures. One of the oldest Churches in the city
Loving the hat. Last night she even wore it to bed. When she was asleep I pulled it off for fear she would get tangled up in the strings.

We went to the Open Air Market. It was cool to say that we experienced it. A lot of Marsh grass and pine needle baskets and other nic nacks. I fell in love with a home made teddy bear made out of Alpaca hair. So so so soft. I did have pictures of the market but later erased it for more family picture. I figure next time I go down there That stuff will still be there, but mom won't be.

Ashley Blvd.Waterfront Mansions are on this road.

We took a carriage ride that was fantastic. It was an hour long and definitely a must do thing when in Charleston. We went down Rainbow Drive.Back in the day this area was a run down bad part of town. A rich family bought the house and remodeled it. Then showed it off to their rich friends who quickly bought the other houses and did the same things. At the time they were waterfront. I think is what the guide said. The photographer back in the day took a picture of the houses but since they only had black and white film the photographer described the beautiful houses as the colors of rainbows. The name stuck.Sorry no pictures of it though. SD card thing again, limited space for pictures on internal memory of the camera. AND yes I hear some of you giggling of my own forgetful internal memory.HA!!!

One of the horses at the Carriage ride. Our carriage was pulled by mules though. It didn't matter. you don't really see much of the horses anyway. Your looking at the scenery the whole time.

The store front of a nice restaurant.

I know Chris will want to check out this ship.

This is down an alley that they say is the most haunted in Charleston. There were a lot of Duels in the alley. They say it's the only street back in the day that you couldn't see a church steeple, and they said that god couldn't see you if you where in this alley So a lot of bad things happened here. That was according to the lady who had a shop right next door to it.Our tour guide said that in duels they rarely shot anybody. It didn't look good to have killed someone. So what they would do was to shoot up into the air. You where considered brave if you showed up at all.
Oh no I think I see a ghost!!!! Oh wait it's just the top of Leia's head.

We went to James Island near Charleston. They had 3 miles of lights. I wish I could have taken more pictures. Since I forgot my SD card at home and attempted to buy another one and it didn't work. These are all that I could take. We loved it so much we did the tour twice. This is one of my Favorites. They had a Santa rest area where the kids meet Santa, ride the carousal, roast marshmellows, shop, and drink hot chocolate. It started sprinkling so we only got to look around, ride the carousal, and sip hot chocolate. We wanted to beat the crowd back to the car if it started to rain harder. It didn't, so I feel bummed out that Leia didn't get to do it all.But she got to see the big man himself the day before. The roasting of the marshmellow would have been very nice. They had an open fire in a kettle where the kids could roast their own. So tonight if it's not raining,I'll light up the old Chimanaya and we'll roast marshmellows and drink hot coco. And there won't be a long crowded line to do it. YEAH!!!

Noah's Arc
One that I laughed my ^$$ off. Kelly this is for you.

Beam me up Scottie.
