More on the storm

What was weird about this hail was it was more flat then usual and some of them were jagged. It's the talk around here how unusual the hail was. We can't seem to have a new car that's not dinged or scratched up. I think we were meant to have old cars. Nothing ever happened to the old ones. The truck was inspected and there's about 150-200 dents in the truck.
Damage to Chris' sun visor. Damage to the dog bowls outside. They were plastic.
This is what we did while we didn't have power for 10 hours. We bowled with our church group. We assumed that the base was taking care of our problem. The bowling alley ate a man. Just kidding. He was fixing it.

Well these are my roses that I saved. They started blooming after the hail storm. I guess the hail had some rose magic dust in it.
These have just taken over. I love them. I think they're Petunias???
Chris had the truck looked at and they say the damage costs are only 3 grand. So we pay a minimum deductible to get it fixed. He takes it in tomorrow.

We also lost almost everything in our refrigerator. By the time we got ice to it everything in the fridge smelled bad. (we didn't put ice in it right away because the power company had been called, so we didn't think it was worth it)((we were wrong)) I didn't want to take chances with food poisoning so we tossed most of it. I had food poisoning before and it's no walk in the park. In fact I still can't eat at the particular restaurant.

Anyway, more on why it took them longer to fix the power. They had came out to the base, but nobody sponsored them on. So they left. Nobody in the Chain of Command didn't even know that we didn't have power. Chris had called at 9 and at 11. When we got home from bowling he called again. They were like, what we don't know anything about it. So he made a few more calls and next thing we know we have 3 electricians out fixing the problem. We all thought it was damage from the storm. Nope .we had a fried crispy squirrel. Poor guy. Anyway commissary opens up tomorrow, so I can go shopping then. Got to love that Gas station milk is $5.50 a gallon and $4.00 for eggs. UUUUGGGGHHHHH!!!! I know there are other grocery stores, but this is Sumter. You don't go out at night period.
