The view while walking up to the State House.
We had a field trip to the State House in Columbia today. It was fun and interesting. We got to meet some of the Legislative there, had a rally, had lunch, and a tour.We got there at 10 this morning and left at 2:30.
The saying at the bottom means "While I Breath, I Hope"
This is another scene from her book that was at the Capital. It's one of the last battles in SC on the Revolutionary War. This was the Battle of Kings Mountain. A bad defeat to the British happened here.
This is the dome of the State Building. What's odd about it ,is the one you see outside in the picture is a decoy dome.

This picture was in Leia's History book. It's about a soldier, from Camden not far from here,a Confederate helping all wounded on the Union side.He risked his life to give help and water to the North. He was know as a hero, they called him
The Angel of Marye Heights.
The archway through the center of the building was impressive.
Free Chicken sandwich's' Yeah.
The State House. I love how the clouds just pop out of the picture.
We saw a lot of neat statues at the Capital.
Some of the kids made signs.Leia is up front looking back at the other kids. On her defense she didn't have much time to make a sign. It felt exciting to sit on the stairs of such an important place.
We had a rally and got to meet some of the Senate and House of Representatives. 5 of them received awards.Leia got to shake some of their hands.

What a pretty day it turned out to be. This morning there was a rock and rolling thunder storm.I was glad it stopped because the majority of our day was outside. I was able to get fantastic cloud pictures though. The very first picture on the blog was inserted here until I accidentally erased it. OPPS.
