Myrtle Beach

We went to Myrtle Beach yesterday. It was a fantastic time to go. It was in the low 80's, so it was comfortable. We stopped and ate at Joe's Crab Shack. You pay for the nice atmosphere and lousy food. We wanted seafood so bad and they didn't know how to cook it. Later that night we found a wonderful seafood buffet. I can still taste the yummy shrimp and steak. We did have a good time though.

We're at one of the gift shops and the kids enjoyed playing .

There was a pizza restaurant and the gulls were lined up waiting for a handout.

This shopping center was awesome. They had everything you could think of.

Put-put,pirate ships,playgrounds,shops,food,paddle boats,aquarium,IMAX 3-D theater,a regular theater,more shopping,bouncy houses,and tons more.I enjoyed walking around just taking it all in.

More pictures of the shopping center. They had a volcano that puffed out fire and tons of waterfalls.

Who's that long legged kid? Man she has grown so much.

The paddle boats and Joe's Crab Shack restaurant.

The Easter Bunny even made an appearance.

Later that night we returned back to this shopping center to watch fire works. It was an end to the perfect day. Except the dogs were going crazy at home having to potty, since we had been gone for soooo long. Jen beat us home by about 2 hours so I had her let them out for us. Thank you Jen.

They had a Nascar race track there as well. Abram had never been on a go-cart before so Chris was supper excited to introduce this sport to him.

Chris and Leia ready to kick tail.

Nobody could catch up to him. He had such a huge lead.Leia enjoyed every second of it.

Chris about to overlap Abram. Now on his defence Chris was the first one out on the start and Abram was 2nd to last. But it made for a great race between the two for the last lap.

This picture was taken right before the impact of the yellow car that hit Chris. They stop everyone when the race is over. The little boy ,who in my opinion, was too young to drive the big cars, slammed into Chris full throttle. He was hit so hard that his car flew forward another cars link while he was hitting the cars in front of him. His new glasses ,that he just got the day before, was knocked off. They hit the car in front of him and then bounced back and skidded on the side of the track. The attendant couldn't stop laughing at Chris and finally asked if he was OK. It hurt is neck and back. The kid said that the breaks didn't work, but they tested it out before we left and they worked just fine. He probably hit the gas instead of the breaks. He barley got a sorry form the dad. The kid didn't say a word.

After the race and a quick stop at a store to get some pain medicine, we made it to the beach.

I still think Panama City is prettier.Whiter sand. But for Spring Break it wasn't crowded. It was like a normal day at the beach people wise.

Leia loved to run and jump in the waves. She had such a fun time. The water was freezing cold, but eventually you warmed up.

Look a Mermaid washed up on the shore.

Proof that I was at Myrtle Beach.

She is such a beach baby. She was so excited to play in the ocean.

Ethan and Leia taking a break from all the running and jumping.

One little kid came up to me and said "Do you know there are sharks in the water. My daddy told me that 21 children go in but only 18 of them come out!" I busted out laughing. This kid was like 5ish. It was so cute. But it's so true, the Jaws movie theme keep playing through my head.

We're going to be going to church and then having a BBQ at Jens house. The other day they bought a new grill so I guess we'll be testing it out with Hamburgers and hotdogs. I'm still going to attempt the potato salad. Wish me luck. Happy Easter.
