Garden mid June and Swan Lake

We went to Swan Lake today. It's been so darn hot to go all spring. We had a nasty storm roll in last night and it cooled this morning down. It was 73 out at 9 so Leia and I packed up and headed to Swan Lake. We walked around enjoying the peaceful setting, cool weather, and wonderful perfume of the flowers. It was a great morning. I accidentally deleted this picture earlier. This is one of our watermelons. It's the size of a baby's head.We have about 7 of them this size and about 10 smaller ones just starting out. I have to figure out what to do with all the watermelon. Especially if they all ripen at the same time.

I told Leia to stand next to the tree for a picture and she instead hugs it. I was like I hope there's no gosh darn poison ivy on there. That would have been awful. Thank goodness there wasn't any.

This is a picture of the park taken on the walkway over the highway to get to the other side. This picture is prettier blown up bigger. You can see a few geese and swans in it.

This is a HUGE magnolia
