job update

I have heard nothing back from Gulf Coast and it's been a week. I don't know whether to call them because they know I want the job. I've talked to them in person twice before they had announced the job opening in the paper. The travel MRI job contacted me last night and he is interested in hiring me. There will be good things and bad things with this job. I will have to travel 2-3 hours away a few times a month. Once up to Quincy Mississippi YUCK!!! I would have very long days at times, my guess is a lot of the times. He was hesitant to tell me the normal hours. BAD SIGN. But here is the excellent news. They think they have the contract with Tyndall and would mainly need me there. I would be working with an open magnet and would be doing all of the stuff I do now. No hard stuff like the Abdomens and Chest and everything that falls in that area. Gallbladder,kidneys,etc... Those are extremely hard. So I have a running chance at this. What do you all think. Chris is very excited about it. I am worried that I will have to travel more than the guy led on. But Tyndall said they would need a tech 2-3 times a week and the job is only a 4 day work week. The pay would be the same that I make now. Which is bad for a travel tech because they normally make close to double. But if it's mainly at Tyndall and I would get a huge Jump start in MRI and Later down the road make the big bucks. I think it's my " IN "to the mainstream of MRI.
Here is the other thing. That Chris P that I work with still says he is leaving. In fact he went up to Fort Walton to see if he could get his old job back. So I also have that hanging in the balance too. Tracey says He might not get that job because he left it because he hated the drive everyday. I just don't know what to do, just wait around or jump at the travel MRI job?????? I'll keep you all posted. Any Advice would be good too. Love to all.

pictures

I had Leia's 5 year old pictures done today. I also bought the CD and the rights to print pictures. I did buy some pictures for everyone, but if you want a specific size and I don't have it we can easily get it,just let me know. I will get the ones I bought in the mail probably in a day or so. I think you even might be able to print them off of this web sight. I think you just click on the picture and it will enlarge it and then save it to one of your picture programs or just print it. love to all. The one above is a picture of Leia in one of her school uniforms.

jobs again

Well I applied back at Gulf Coast for an x-ray job. I saw an add in the paper and applied. I also saw a travel MRI Tech job and I will call it later today. I really don't want to go back to gulf coast but it would be a job and one I know well. And there is also the possibility of Chris P. to leave SOS and then I would have plenty of hours just to do that. But since he's been saying he's going to leave like forever I can't just sit around and wait much longer. I do want to 100% leave the surgery Center for reasons that I can't type on a web sight. Anyway love to all. I hope to get this job thing situated really soon. It's driving me crazy.

funnies

Thought I'd share this picture of Chris and his favorite car. Next year will be so different for Dale JR. And his car.Jr won't be # 8 anymore and he will be changing sponsors. So now that half of Chris closet is of this car and his dad's #3 Dale Earnhardt Senior. He will have to have a new wardrobe. HA!!!
Oh some funny things that come out of Leia's mouth. Yesterday she came up to me and said Mommy I hate this house. I hate living in a crack house.... Can we move? Our house has cracked ceilings and the paint in some areas are chipped off. We've had base housing fix it a few years ago but its doing it again. We just keep hoping to get out of here. I told Leia don't say that you live in a crack house because every cop will be here in no time just to discover the cracked ceilings. HA!!!

WELL I don't think I will take the CT job. Chris hated the idea of me being gone 48 hours straight , so I will keep looking. I hated the idea too but it was a paycheck. But he is right there are more important things than a paycheck. As things keep going in MRI I might get more hours there soon because Chris P. that I work with says he will be looking for a new job and yesterday at work he had a meeting with our boss just a ranting and carrying on on how much he hated it there and I was shocked that they didn't tell him just to leave. So if I play my cards right and maybe just hang on tight I might get it. What a roller coaster ride of job hunts that I am on.

Chris worked last night at the police station. he said he had an interesting night but the minuet his head hit the pillow he was snoring so I don't know the scoop. I have a cold so I don't think we'll go do much of anything this weekend. Hope you all have a great weekend.

new look at my job opportunity

Opportunity hopefully is knocking. I went to Gulf Coast today to talk to my old boss to see if I could get back my job or at least be PRN which would be a day here and there nothing stable. But I looked at the job board and saw that they had an opening in CT. I wouldn't have to go back to school because they could train me.So we will see. The only bad part is it would be weekends and I would have to be there at 7am on Sat. and not be able to leave until 11pm Sunday Night. I don't like the hours at all but it would be another notch under my belt and I wouldn't have to pay daycare for the weekdays. I would keep the Friday MRI job and quit the surgery center job. That job has turned out to be a nightmare. Every Wednesday I want to just walk out. I will as soon as I get another job.

Still nothing on orders,so that can't be my saving grace out of this place. As far as I know his orders were denied. I fear we will be stuck her until he retires if they even let him retire. That's another issue we are dealing with. The Air Force is letting go some 40,000 service men and women and this one guy has been riding Chris really hard telling him when it is Chris' turn to re up to retire he won't let him. So he would be done with 18 years in with no retirement, no benefits, nothing. He would then join either the army or the reserves. we are just waiting. Luckily we have 2 years left before he re ups so Please Pray that he makes next rank and that we get orders out of here. Not much else is going on here. Just job craziness.

Leia starts kindergarten Aug. 20th. I went out and got her school supplies and her school uniforms. Their uniform colors are RED, WHITE, or BLUE. They have to be polo shirts with colors, slacks, dresses and skirts. I have found some cute things but not many. They all look the same after awhile.Take care. love to all.

The tree of life at Animal Kingdom. You can go underneath it when you go to see, It's Tough to be a Bug show. It was sooo cool. The show was 3D and also gave you sensations of what was going on. Lots of surprises. Bill and I saw it twice.
This is the Yetti Mountain. It is a HUGE roller coaster. Ashley went on it with Bill and had a great time. Bill says it's the best coaster he's ever been on. YIKES. Must have been pretty scary. Ashley loves roller coasters but yet is afraid to go down a tiny water slide . Go figure.
This is a safari truck at AK that zips you around to see the animals. It was so real to life it was like you were really on a safari. We had to stop a few times to let the animals cross the road. It was really cool!!

Bill was chosen at The Lion King show to go up and make wart hog noises. He did such a great job that everyone started cheering. Later in the show Ashley was chosen to go dance and shake a maraca. She did a great job too. This was a great show. I was hoping though it would be somewhat like the broadway show, but nothing can top that. It was nothing like it at all, but it was still pretty cool, esp. the monkeys that jumped and tumbled around. A must see if you ever go.
Leafy Sea Dragons!!! I was fascinated by them.

Here we are trying to pet dolphins, we waited and waited and just as everyone gave up ,one came up to me and I got to touch it. I called everyone over and Bill and Ashley got to touch it too. I was so excited because that was the one thing I really wanted to do. -Kelly
We found out about 7:00 Budweiser was giving out free beer. Man did it taste great. You can not believe how incredibly hot and humid it was. This is one of the Budweiser Clydesdales. One of the horses is named Kelly. Cool. We also got to see them pulling the wagon. Of course both girls wanted a Clydesdale horse so we bought them a stuffed animal version.

orlando

These pictures got out of order but you can see that we had a heck of a time with the Pinata. After 15 min of hitting it while up in the air we laid it down and the kids hit it with the stick and then Leia just started jumping on it. after it loosing all of it's legs and head still no candy. So we took it inside and dumped it out . We did have an stick incident Leia grazed Chris in yes the kahuna. Where is the video tape recorder when you need one.
Sea World

Shamoo
This looks like Chris fishing. Donald Duck caught a shoe in this picture. They went out the other night and Kelly caught most of the fish. Chris caught a tow strap on his fishing line. HA!!!
Happy 5th birthday Leia. We had a breakfast birthday for her with a small chocolate cheesecake. Yummy!!!

Animal Kingdom

It was so stinking hot. We are watching the parade.

We had a fantastic time in Orlando. We went to Animal Kingdom and Sea World.Best vacation on earth. here are some pictures of our trip.We now are back in Panama City we got in around 8 pm and it's 10 now. I'm going to head to bed but thought you all would like to see a few pics first. love to all. I took close to 250 pictures so I'll post more of them later. BYE!

beach pictures

The girls had such a good time flying a kite.

Ashley says we should live here so we could go to the beach every day!
I bet he just loves his job. Talk about making a killing and having fun doing it. This guy is soooo cool. We've gone 7 years in a row now,and talking about squeezing in another cruise when Mom gets here. The kids young and young at heart have a blast. A must do if ever down this way.

What a perfect day. It's going to be hard to leave. Time is going by so fast.

Did anyone call Gico for this gecko to jump on Chris!!!!! As I screamed like a sissy. Attack of the friendly lizards. More pay back since we scared another lizard with a blue tail into the bushes just to look at it. and that is when Chris and I got into the poison Ivy.

Luckily ours made it off the ship

We went to No Name Beach today after I got off of work.We flew a kite and played in the water a little bit. Something unidentified was spotted twice by us swimming around so we got out. I think it was a big stingray and they hurt if you get stuck with their barb. It darts poison into you and it Burns so bad you'd rather cut your foot off. So we played it safe and made sand castles and just hung out. We saw a tiny dead shark on the beach Cool but weird. Here are some more pictures of the pirate ship and cave adventure off of Kelly's camera. We are headed out to dinner. Love to all.
