pumpkins

We started out with one big pumpkin, but Leia grabbed it off of the counter and before I knew it she dropped it. It split pretty much in 2 even pieces, so we got to make two faces instead of one.Leia drew this pumpkin out and we carved it. Pretty good for her. She wanted a kitty one so this is what I came up with.
She is going to be a Cheetah girl for Halloween. It is a girl band. Anyway she didn't want to be something cute( That I had in mind) She looks so grown up in her outfit. I will get pictures up of that on Halloween. Unfortunately I have to work until 9 Pm that night so I am counting on Chris to take at least a million pictures for me. I took her on a walk tonight around the neighborhood to see some of the houses that were decorated and then we carved our pumpkins.

florida farm

We went to a Florida farm today to get pumpkins. We had a blast. Leia picked the 2 pumpkins that she has her hands on and I picked an apple gourd(not shown). I pulled Leia around on this really cool wagon.
The building behind Leia is the chicken house. They call it the penthouse. It was huge. It was bigger than our house.
Leia riding a push peddle john deer tractor.
This is Leia on the hay ride. The Owner let us tour the farm and he told us about the apple & peach trees, blueberries, and blackberry patches.
Leia went fishing. On her very first throw, 10 seconds later ,a bluegill grabbed a hold of her line .I was like great, the fishing hook was in so deep and came out the poor things eye. Luckily there was a man fishing with his 2 year old so I walked over there and he took the fish off of the hook. He was reluctant because he said I chose bread so I wouldn't have to catch one and I said So did I. I guess they like bread. I was figuring Leia would putz around with the line and get bored and we'd feed the ducks the bread. Well the ducks didn't give a hoot about the bread and the fish loved it. She caught 3 total. Luckily as she was reeling them in they some how came off the hook when I was pulling it up. I was saying OH DARN!!!! She had a good time.

Leia bobbed for apples. She caught this tiny one.

She found a duck feather. They had a corn grinder. The kids loved it.
Did someone say KFC!!!

This was so cute. Everyone needs a pig like him.
bobbing for apples. 30 minuets later she gets one. Yippee.
This was such a great farm. we had a good time. We spent over 4 hours there.

Leia wanted to take this horse home.

bows

MY DADDY AND ME. TAH DAH!!!LOOK HOW CUTE I AM IN MY BOWS.
this is the first bow that I bid on and won. It has a cat in the center.
I am learning to sort objects at school, mommy is letting me practice at home but she won't stop taking my picture.
We are heading out the to wolf preserve. They are having a Halloween festival. We were going to go camping, but we all have colds and figured that we should just visit when it's warm out and not be out in the cold. It finally is getting in the 30's at night. Yesterday made it in the high 70's but this weekend it's suppose to be in the low 70's and rainy during the day and high 30's low 40's at night.. We figured we are sick and don't need to make it worse. I'll write later with pictures of the wolf preserve.

we found a new kitty and a new hobby

I am going to try to dress up Leia's clothes.I got the Idea off of E-bay. They are selling appliqued clothes from 60-200 bucks each . I figured I could do this, so we went to Joe Ann fabrics and had fun picking out fabrics and applique's. I spent like 70 dollars, but enough to make 6-8 different out fits. These pictures are just the first steps of cutting and arranging and pinning. They will be cut down to better size and sewed on. I have a matching penguin bow coming in the mail that I won on E-bay that will match this perfectly.
The pictures don't do this one Justice. But it still needs work. I bought cow girl fringe and some fancy buttons to add to this one.It looks so cute. I send better pictures later.
Yes E-Bay is addictive. I have bought Leia a ton of bows. So many that Chris thinks I've gone nuts. But we found Kitty #3. She has her old one that she has had from birth and this is what it looked like new,as you can tell Scratchy eye kitty has definitely been loved. Like the velveteen rabbit story I believe this one will become real. If you don't know that story its a great one for the kids or grand kids. It's one of our favorites. See big bow on Leia's head.

Can you believe that these are the same kitty. A few million snuggles and kisses and he too will look like the old one. This is Leia's favorite toy in the whole entire world. As you can tell we have to take it everywhere. I thought she'd have a fit when in Pre-K they said no toys allowed but she adjusted well. SO now in kindergarten she knows that it sits in mommy's car or snuggled in her bed carefully covered up until she gets home.
I want to keep this one pristine so We can give it to Leia's children. It is so hard to find this cat. We have looked for years. Thanks to E-bay we found it. We Didn't even bid on it just bought it out right. It was worth the full price. I hope everyone had a good weekend. love always.

yard sale # 2

We had our 2nd yard sale yesterday. It was a base wide at Bonita Bay , so we knew we would do good,Civilians could go to it.We made 350 bucks. Not bad when most of our stuff was under a dollar. the rest we are hauling over to Good Will. We were going to have a third one but I don't feel like doing it again. We had to get up at three and move all of our stuff to Bonita Bay and set up starting at 4:30 am. It was a great day for one. It started out freezing so a lot of our coats and blankets went fast, then it got hot and a lot of people started buying more summer things. It was a hoot. Leia was so good she sat quietly most of the day just playing, every once in a while she'd say to some body Hey We have that at home. and I quietly say not any more honey. Chris wasn't there for the whole thing. He had forgotten he had a D.A.R.E. thing he had to do at the BX. So at 8:30 - 1:00 It was just us girls. To reward Leia for being so good we took her out to a fancy Ice cream store. One where they mix in anything you want them too. There was so much candy,Leia's eye's just lit up. She was making people laugh saying she wanted this and this and this and this etc.... I finally said honey only 2 please so on her mint ice cream she picked gummy bears and sprinkles. YUCK!!! but it actually wasn't too bad and she loved it.

Today we not up to a whole lot. It is cleaning day,so today will be dedicated to cleaning. YUCK. But we will probably hit a park today. We try to meet up with our friends on the weekend to catch up on things and the kids have fun. All this week I work Doubles at SOS MRI. I've been working average 10-13 hour shifts all week between the 2 jobs. I am so so so tired. Only 13 more weeks to go. hope everyone had a great weekend. Love to all.

day at the beach

Leia is kissing on Kelsey This was the horse I rode on . His name is Rebel
This is Appachie
Kelsey again.
Leia being cute
And this one is pork chop

my horse's shadow.

Leia rode with daddy first but was having problems sitting in the saddle so the owner put Leia on her horse pork chop. Leia had nothing but pure joy the whole entire trip.

a better picture of pork chop. He loved walking in the water. I got to ride mine in the water too. It was a blast.

My horse loved to be leader and he was so much taller and bigger than the others so his stride was longer. I had to constantly stop him so the others could catch up. All of these pictures where shot over my shoulder and behind my back. I think I did a great job considering I couldn't see what I was doing. It was a blast. An hour ride though when your not used to riding killed the hips and butts.

It was so worth the money for this trip. It was an hour long. the weather was just perfect.A nice calm breeze and not that hot. It was in the low 80's The horses were fantastic. They where so calm and knew where they were going. We didn't even have to hold the reins. HA!!! Notice Leia is in the saddle and the owner is behind the saddle. The horses were that great. I can't wait to have horses of our own.

bus stop day 3

One of Leia's new school outfits. We went to Dillard's over the weekend and the shirt and skirt was $1.99 each. so I scored on this outfit. I love hair bows. I found this on at the mall and had to get it.
Leia practicing her reading.
Some of the boys at her stop. The one in red is Evan and he is one of Leia's friends. His Mom watches Leia in emergency's when Chris and I can't get off of work. He's the one who fell yesterday and was caked in mud. Poor kid.
Bus # 514. Her bus driver is really nice.

Third time is the charm. I got some good pictures today. Not as great as the first day but I have enough to fill up a photo album. HA!!! Leia is the only girl at her stop. There are 5 very rambunctious boys there. I definitely will have to keep my eye on her. Those boys run wild and their parents let them. I try to say something to the kids when they go way to far or when they play in the street, but the parents just sit in the car doing what ever. Today though the boys were way out of hand so 2 of the parents had to get out of their car's to talk to their kids. I have told Leia she is to stay by me and not run wild like the boys. She loves riding the big school bus. I'm still paying the youth center because I have to give them my 2 weeks notice, but it makes Leia happy to ride this bus and I get some extra time with her, which makes me happy.
