This is Felix Lake here on base. We had our egg hunt here.
I swear the alligator Felix was under the bridge. Shortly after I shot this picture there was a huge splash. We didn't stay on the bridge long. In fact we didn't get close to the water after this.
I know he's in there somewhere.

Daddy hid the eggs good.

She had such a great time hunting eggs. We had even more fun hiding them for her.We came here with 21 eggs and left with 20. We joke Felix must have snatched it. we looked everywhere for it.

We had a good Easter. We went to Felix lake to hid eggs. We had such a good time we hid them 4 different time. We then went out for Lunch and then hit the park. We were so tuckered out we came home and took a nap. I missed not having Easter Dinner. I wish we could have been home. We tried to make the best of the day though. I hope everyone had a good Easter. Today was the Easter Egg Hunt at the Youth

Center. We had

good time. It went way to fast. It started at 9 and by 9:10 we

were done. So we went and picked up Evan our neighbor and took him to the egg hunt. He was in a different age group,but unfortunately we didn't make it to his. His stared at 10 and we got there at 10:02 and the field was picked clean. So we just got to take cute pictures and I took them to the park. We had an even better time there.

Evan is Camera shy so if I ever get his eyes open in a picture would be a miracle. HA!!! He's a good kid.

I love this tree. I don't know what kind it is ,but I want one. Does anybody know what it is? It has a lot of little white flowers on it.

Mall Easter Bunny Picture

Just a quick note to say Hi. We went to the mall to get the picture with the Easter Bunny. Our Luck we get there when she's on an hour break. But we were first in line. We are going to go to the Youth Center for the big egg hunt tomorrow. I will post lots of pictures then. Happy Easter. Wish we could be home.

The Easter Bunny @ Wal-Mart.

We went to Wal-Mart for a few things the other day and the Easter bunny was there. Leia was so freaked out. She didn't want to be anywhere near him and keep hiding. Finally I told her he was like Santa. That you have to tell him what you want. So then she was all for it,she had a huge list for the bunny. So we got to see the Easter Bunny for free, No long lines ( Like at the mall) and a free picture (Mall price 20 bucks) So Kudo's to Wal-Mart.I also won an Easter raffle and I get to pick that up today. I'll get that before I leave for work. It has a lot of stuff like a huge basket filled with toys,picture frame,games,candy,and 30 bucks of free pictures with the Easter Bunny at the mall. Yeah. This close to Easter maybe the line won't be so long. Love to all.

I did the genealogy thing a few times. Twice using different pictures we got equal results, but when I used baby pictures she resembled me one by 3 % and the other by 12%. That makes since because when she was a baby she looked so much like me, but now that she is growing up she looks more and more like her daddy. This was fun to do. I got it off of Laura's blog site.
We went out to see Horten Hears A Who last night. A fabulous movie. This is one we will definitely own and I don't say that about many of them. Today in 30 minuets we are going to the base wide yard sale and then later to the JR Museum to Heritage Days I can't wait. I just hope the weather holds up.It's supposed to rain.

not much is going on

We finally started unpacking yesterday. I found my crock pot,pots and pans, and dishes yah!!! Now where are the cooking utensils???? I unpacked more things for Leia's room and found the movies so she now has DVDs to watch.I can't wait to hang things back up on the walls. I'll wait for Chris to be home for that or everything will be uneven.I think overall we unpacked about 15 big totes of stuff. I have a huge tote to cart off to goodwill.Mainly Leia's clothes that I decided by next winter and this summer will be too small. Slowly but surly we'll unpack most things. I'm still not in the mood for it. Plus a neighbor heard a rumor that we all will be moving into new housing by fall. I do find that hard to believe though because we just had new neighbors move in. So we'll see. My friend Tiffany got a moving 30 day notice for their house and that's about 2 blocks up the street.They get a nice big new house. It would be our luck we'd move but get another crappy old small house.
Chris was moved to day shift as of yesterday. He says he'll be on that for a while. He did find his study disk's so I hope he uses them.I decided not to go to Gulf Coast today. They had a lot of people there so I didn't want to drive all the way down there just to come home in a few hours to then drive back down for the other job. I've been unpacking and cleaning most of the morning and I'm taking a break. This is bad, but a nap sounds good right now. I've not been sleeping well lately. I hope everyone had a good weekend.

We went to the park today with my friend Tiffany and her kids Evan and Luke. This one is Evan. He is such a cuttie.He is Leia's age.They ride the bus together. Leia posing by the poor cut tree as she says.It has a hole in it and it needs to go to the fix it machine.
We tried to get the 2 boys together for the picture. This was just way to cute not to post.Poor Luke.
Leia and Evan raced around the entire park. It was like the Indy 500.

While the 2 older ones raced around, Luke just chilled eating animal crackers. He love's the slide though. This one has no fear.
This is my friend Tiffiany. She is such a sweatheart. She will help me out any time she can. She has been a life savor.
Like I said. They went CRAZY.

After the park Leia and I went to Wal-Mart and I was BAD. They had tablecloths and table linen's on clearance. I bought a new tablecloth,a runner,and place mats. And of course the big item was a new grill. I have been wanting a nice one for years. I even set it up and made Hamburgers on it. It was pretty darn good. Tomorrow I plan on having grilled chicken with grilled mango and pineapple skewers. YUMMY.Anyway I didn't do much this weekend but that and clean house.Chris should be home late Wednesday or Thursday. The boys gave their mom money and said that's all you get since you don't want to except our help with the house. She still has it in her head that she is going to come down here to live with us. She wants to live at the beach. Chris set her straight,but I bet with the money that they gave her she will drive down here.At least down here she won't freeze in the car.Trust me she will not live with us.I hope you all had a good weekend. love to all.

HOME SICK TODAY

Leia is home sick today. She had a 102.7 temp yesterday afternoon. Motrin is fantastic. It got her fever down.I gave her a cool bath,pedialyte,and some Italian Ice.All is well this morning no fever,but I still keep her home to keep my eye on her.She was up at the crack of dawn so I slept in her bed to doze. I was up all night to keep an eye on her to make sure her fever didn't return.She's up to being her normal self even wanting to go to the park.
