KID FEST

We went to kid fest today. They had a lot of things for the kids. It was so much better than last year, It was triple in size and so much more to do. I came unprepared. I forgot to bring cash( My friend had said it was free) and I didn't remember them having food last time we were there. Last time we only stayed about an hour. This time you could have spent all day there. They had tons of bouncy's,slides, bowling,toss games, basketball, paintings, even crafts to buy. One lady had bows. I was so mad that I didn't have cash. But I got her card and plan on maybe getting some. I need small bows now that Leia's hair is cut short. :>

We met up with my friend Stacey and her family. These are her boys giving the fireman's hose a shot. They had a blast.

Leia's haircut!!!

Leia got her hair cut yesterday. She's been begging us to get it cut short and I finally did it.I still have to get used to it. I liked it much better longer. Hopefully her hair will grow back fast. This morning she asked if it had grown any while she slept and we said not really. She was so excited. She loves her hair. I guess that's what matters.
I can still pull it up a little bit. i tried a ponytail today and I can't do it. So the sides pulled back is all I can get. I can get 2 small pigtails but hair easily falls out. But I can still get a bow in it!!!

I still can't believe I let her talk me into it. I did not cry though.I figure it's her hair and that's what she wanted. Actually she wanted shorter, but I couldn't do it.
She's still cute no matter what.

Leia was dancing around to the fair music. She was in kiddie heaven.
You can kind of see her haircut in this picture. I pulled it back into little pigtails.

This went up and down and around. She was fearless.

She rode the kiddie roller coaster all by herself and wasn't scared. See the wee on behind her.... He screamed his head off. Poor kid.

This went really high. I didn't think she'd like this,but she had a blast on it.

We went to a small fair that they had at the mall. It wasn't much, but Leia had fun.

Leia got a haircut earlier today. It is short. She has been begging us to get it cut short for awhile,so today I got the guts up to have it done.At least 10 inches were cut off. I am still able to put them up in little pig tails and pony tails but that's about it. It will have to grown on me. I don't really like it,but Oh well. It's only hair and it will grow back.I'll get better pictures of it tomorrow to post. You can't really tell in these pictures how short it is. It goes to the top of her shoulder.

Class Field Trip

Leia had her first class field trip. We went to the Strawberry Farm. Strawberries as far as the eye could see.

They had a hay ride. It was bumpy.Surprised we didn't loose any of the kids.HA!!!! A few needed to go. Isn't that BAD:< Some were driving me insane. I don't know how all of the teachers in the family keep their sanity.

MOO SAID MOMMA COW.The big one's name was Steak. They had a chicken named Lucifer b/c the comb on it's head looked like red horns, and a few pigs named Bacon and Hammy. The meanest of the roosters she named after her X husband because of... well he was such a snot. To put it in nice words.That just cracks me up.
MONKEY WAS CUTE, THEY FEED HIM A BOTTLE 3 TIMES A DAY. HE WAS SO HUNGRY AND LOOK AT THE DROOL.

WE HAD A GOOD TIME. WE PICKED SOME YUMMY STRAWBERRIES ,PLAYED GAMES,PETTED ANIMALS,AND ATE LUNCH. I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THE KIDS BUT I NEED A NAP. HA!!! I WAS SO GLAD WE WERE ABLE TO GO.

Nothing new

Not much is new around here. I have started a new diet and I've lost 4 lbs. I have a long way to go. I've been having problems with posting so if you ever see just a big bold print header line just click on it and it will open up what I've written. We didn't do much over the weekend. It rained a lot. Chris went to the range between rain showers and I went out to dinner with my friend Stacey and caught up on there lives. Leia is on Spring Break. I got to spend yesterday with her for the most part until I had to go to work at 2. The magnet is down today so I get to see her this afternoon. I went to work at the hospital today. So I am glad to be home today. Love to all.

After I wrote in this morning my plans changed. My best friend called and wanted to take the kids to the park. I haven't seen her for almost 6 weeks.Either her kids were sick or mine was,then our schedules didn't match up, you name it. I was so glad to see them. We went to the park, hit Toys-R-Us( found the horse Yippee!!!!), And then we meet up with Chris and Mark and had lunch. We had a lot of catching up to do. We hung out at least 5 hours. Needless to say not much house work got done and the animals still need a bath.The dog might just go to the groomers, Watch out Chevy I can still get you. I'll post wet cat pics if I get her. HA!!!

This was pure luck.They stayed there for 2 seconds. It was easier to take a picture at the air show of airplanes than it was of them.

We went to the Air Show yesterday. We had a lot of fun.

She loved the binoculars. We ended up buying her a Thunderbird hat.

Chris had the camera most of the time so there are million of pictures and video of the planes and not much else. He was like a kid in the candy store. He was so excited just to be here. I'm going to name these airplanes but I'm not good at it and I'm sure you will see how unknowledgeable that I am at this. I'll get Chris here later to correct me on the one's I get wrong.He's sleeping this morning. He did AADD (Airman against drunk driving) again last night. He was out most of the night picking people up and taking them home. I know he had at least 4 last night. This is the F-22
(F-4 is this jet and it's in the Vietnam ERA) No clue. But Chris took a fantastic picture of it. This is one of his favorite airplane's. This has not been cropped. He took this on the digital and you know how hard that was.This one was pure luck to get the parachute opening and the whole plane at the same time.
For sure this is the Mustang. Her name was crazy horse.
This one is the the F-22. This is such a cool jet. It does things that just doesn't seem possible. This jet defies gravity.
A....... Helicopter. I can't remember what kind. This demo was insane. He actually flipped this and did rolls, things a helicopter just shouldn't do.Red Bull was the name of this group. If you ever go to see an air show this one is definitely one to see.

Patty Wagstaff was there and did an awesome demo like always. She is Chris's Hero. I didn't find a picture of her airplane, just long video, so I won't be able to show that to you. And there was this crazy man who landed his plane on a pickup truck. They said there are only 4 people that know how to do this.The Thunderbirds were there and they had an Aaron Tippin concert afterwords. We were so tired at the end of the day we got there at 9 and left at 3:30. We left during the Thunderbirds and missed the concert. We just wanted to go home.I told Chris if it was the Blue Angles we Wouldn't have left and he looked at me strange and said don't say that loud ,your with me. The Thunderbirds are Air Force and the Blue Angels are Navy. OPPS!!!! He thought it was funny. They are Great don't get me wrong,I just like one better than the other. We had a great time.



Today we are just going to clean house, give the animals a much needed bath and try to head to Toys-R- Us.I have been on a hunt for a horse from My littlest pet shop for Leia. She wants one bad and I can't seem to find them. I tried E-bay and they all say Rare or hard to find. I will keep trying. Last resort I'll shell out the bucks to E-bay again.It's just fun to look for.
